Findings from a new report on Internet's transformative impact on adoption are shared and indicate: a growing commodification of adoption, findings birth relatives is becoming increasingly easy and commonplace, an indeterminable but growing number of minor adopted children are contacting and forming relationships with birth family members, there are a rising number of sites that expedite the adoption of children and youth, and there is evidence the Internet has many additional positive effect on adoption. Recommendations are made for using the Internet to best serve children and families.
