Sonoma State University's RURAL project (Resources to Address the Unique Needs of Rural Communities for Availability/Accessibility of Local Services) will provide statewide training/technical assistance in California. The project goals are to create and disseminate a field-tested, competency-based training curriculum to enhance frontline/supervisory staff capacity to provide effective, high quality child welfare services in rural California by managing barriers to service access, strengthening families, improving access to faith-based and community resources, and partnering with State, local and tribal governments.
