This website is designed to raise public awareness about child fatalities throughout Florida and assist communities with identifying where additional resources or efforts are needed to assist struggling families. Information is provided regarding all child fatalities called into the Florida Abuse Hotline alleged to be a result of abuse or neglect. The data can be sorted and viewed by county, child's age, causal factor, and prior involvement. the website features current 2017 data and data from 1012 through 2106 to provide the capability for greater trend analysis. Data is also included on child fatalities with a Critical Incident Rapid Response Team Response in 2017. A prevention link provides information on Florida prevention campaigns, including the Safe Sleep Campaign, the Water Safety Campaign, a campaign to urge parents to evaluate non-relative caregivers and ensure safe environments for children ages 0-4, and a Car Safety campaign.
