This trainer’s guide is designed to provide a reference for trainers on the expected flow and content of the Strengthening Families training. The training has been broken down into a series of modules and lessons that are delivered in sequence during this training. The modules address: introducing Strengthening Families, understanding the protective factors, trauma and the developing brain, and collaborating at a community level to take a protective factors approach. The guide begins with information on the goals of the training, adult learning and the training philosophy, and classroom preparation. The training modules are then presented with detailed instructions to guide the delivery of each module. The guide closes with wrap-up activities required to be completed after the training has been concluded. A slideshow to accompany the training is attached.
