Site Visit Report: Colorado Partnership in Early Childhood Education Services (PIECES) 2013: Appendix, Assessment and Evaluation Results.
Grant Product Site Visit
In this appendix to a site visit report for the Colorado Partnership in Early Childhood Education Services (PIECES) program, results from Early Childhood-Child Welfare Contact Forms from Jefferson, Fremont, and El Paso counties are shared. The form inquires about topics and progress of PIECES meetings in three areas: content, process, and barriers and challenges to project implementation. Results indicate systems integration topics are the predominant focus of team meetings, followed by implementing the Strengthening Families program. Project staff reported that in most meetings, members are on board with the agenda and are engaged and actively working on short-term projects. Productivity is rated moderately, with some indication that team members struggle to complete follow-up tasks between meetings. Additional information is provided on the results of a preliminary evaluation of the Strengthening Families program in Fremont that indicate progress on on-line training. A final attachment reports results of a statewide needs assessment concerning child welfare and early childhood services collaboration. The report indicates there is clear priority enrollment for Head Start and Early Start for children involved with child welfare and that Early Intervention directors report standardized and coordinated referral processes.
