This article explains children in foster care are much more vulnerable to being victims of sex trafficking because of the past trauma they have endured. Signs a child might be at risk of human trafficking are listed and the role foster parents can play in ensuring their children don’t fall victim to sex trafficking is discussed. The work of Freedom Place in rescuing and rehabilitating underage victims of sex trafficking is highlighted.
