This brief lists selected readings, resources, and program links for information on improving higher education outcomes for young adults in foster care. The first section includes new and current resources on college access and success, college specific readings on promising programs for foster youth, readings on Statewide approaches for encouraging postsecondary education for foster youth, policy formation, community colleges information, and findings from research studies. The second section includes a list of tools and resources for ensuring foster youth success in postsecondary education. The final section provides a sampling of college support program websites, including websites on community colleges, four-year colleges, other modes, and State higher education, child welfare, and community based organization collaboratives.
