This article explains the need for children with disabilities to be placed with their siblings. It discusses the general legal treatment of siblings, highlights the difficulties that siblings with special needs endure in foster care and in permanent placements, the benefits of placing children with special needs together with their siblings and the barriers that still remain, and proposed solutions to keeping siblings together. 193 references.
