A study used a random-assignment evaluation design to assess the impact of the YVLifeSet program on 1,114 young adults transitioning to adulthood from the child welfare and juvenile justice systems in Tennessee. The evaluation identified positive impacts of the program on employment and earnings, housing instability, economic hardships, and health and safety. The program had no impact on measures of education, social-support, criminal behaviors, and justice system involvement. 10 tables and 32 references. (Author abstract modified)
