This paper summarizes legal requirements for preparing foster youth for financial management and related skills in different States. It cites provisions from State law in California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. State child welfare policies on the preparation of foster youth for financial management are then identified in the District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, and Maine. (Author Abstract)
