A checklist for foster parents is provided to help ensure their foster children gain the skills and support they need to be successful living independently. The checklist addresses: available services, extended foster care, supportive adults, employment, necessary documents, driver’s education, transportation assistance, recovery and online classes, funding for college applications and SAT/ACT fees, the Educational and Training Voucher program, GED tutoring, needs-based grants, and housing assistance.
