This article discusses judicial guidance regarding section 20 Children Act 1989 in England and Wales, legislation that requires the local authorities to provide accommodation for a child in there are when the person who has been caring for them is prevented from providing them with suitable accommodation or care, and voluntary accommodation when this would safeguard or promote the child’s welfare. The guidance addresses the undue delay in child placement and family reunification. 4 references.
