This article details the stories of foster parents whose foster children were returned to their biological parents over their concerns and subsequently died. The foster parents decided to stop fostering because of the silencing of their advocacy. The challenges agencies face in recruiting foster parents are then discussed, as well as the reasons people choose not to foster. The need to educate potential foster parents on the goal of family reunification is emphasized.
