A study investigated the effectiveness of providing recovery coaches to 1,112 substance abusing parents associated with an open foster care placement. Findings indicate substance abusing parents associated with a recovery coach were significantly more likely to achieve a stable reunification as compared with similar families in the control group. 1 figure, 3 tables, and 37 references.
