This 43-minute DVD features Virginians sharing their stories of addition, overdose, and recovery, as well as testimony from the families and friends of young people who have lost their lives to a fatal heroin overdose. Statistics on use of heroin and heroin deaths in Virginia are shared and information is provided on addiction, the link between prescribed opiates and the use of heroin, the increase in demand, the blending of fentanyl and other drugs in heroin, the desperation of users that lead to crime, and the health implications of heroin use. The material is presented in English and Spanish and includes subtitles.
