This document is for substance abuse treatment providers and their child welfare colleagues. It describes the Recovering Together Program (RTP), a program that treats families (mothers and their children) in which the mothers are receiving substance abuse services and the family is receiving child welfare services. The first section describes issues associated with collaboration between the two service systems and practical implications for replicating or developing a program like RTP as part of such a collaboration. The second section contains a detailed guide in the form of a curriculum for conducting the adult group in Phase 1 of the Recovering Together Program. (Author abstract)
