This chapter explains unaccompanied child migrants are children of God and that current U.S. immigration policy contradicts Catholic teachings and Jesus’s direct invitation to children. It describes child migrants as vulnerable agents and reviews modes of their vulnerability. The need for Christians to move beyond the Holy Family imagery to Jesus’s invitation to children is emphasized. 30 references.
