This fact brief explains strategies for conducting in-person services for children with developmental delays or disabilities in Wisconsin. It begins by explaining decisions about having in-person health services during the COVID-19 pandemic start with the family and will be guided by the agency’s policies and the level of local COVID-19 transmission. Key considerations for making the decision are listed, followed by procedures for: screening the family and provider, identifying a safe space, preparing the space, and preparing yourself for conducting the visit. Guidelines for conducing the visit are then listed, followed by procedures for cleaning and disinfecting items after a home visit and considerations for wearing face coverings. Exceptions to wearing face coverings are noted. Material is presented in Spanish.
