Intended to assist governors in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, this table lists State Human Services actions and initiatives related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The actions and initiatives address: TANF and cash assistance; SNAP and food security; child welfare; housing assistance; support to the human services workforce; partnerships with charitable foundations; information sharing; and security personal protective equipment. For each area, links are provided to promising State programs. In the child welfare area, information is linked to State initiatives for supporting youth who age out of care, supporting foster parents, expanding virtual visitation for caseworkers and families, supporting family courts, out-of-State placements, foster youth in college, investigations, fingerprint background checks, rate flexibility for placements related to COVID-19, access to technology, and Family Resource Centers.
