This chapter explains the National Association of Social Workers has its own code of ethics, reviews common ethical dilemmas faced by those working in the human services field, and discusses ethical principles of social workers. The need for social workers to treat all clients with respect and dignity and take into consideration their clients’ race/ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, and sexual orientation is emphasized.
