This article explains The Chronicle of Social Change is s soliciting information from youth, parents, foster and adoptive parents, caseworkers, probation officers, judges, and others about how the spread of COVID-19 is affecting child welfare services. The goal is to help inform leaders about what is happening on the ground. Information is provided on how COVID-19 is impacting investigating maltreatment, free and reduced-price lunch programs, in-home services, substance abuse treatment for parents, visitation and reunification services, court appearances, protecting youth with pre-conditions, foster parent employment, the placement of foster children, elder caregivers, outbreaks at institutional settings, and foster youth on college campuses. Actions and initiatives to address these concerns are described.
