This brief describes the response and actions of Plan International to the COVID-10 pandemic in Asia Pacific Countries (APAC). It begins by noting girls and young women are particularly vulnerable in health emergencies and emphasizes the need for governments to include meaningful participation of girls and women in decision-making processes related to the COVID-19 response. The report indicates Plan International reached 35,520,530 people through their response in APAC, including 16,124,680 girls and women, distributed 2,672,135 hygiene/menstrual hygiene kits and non-food items, distributed 991,480 IEC material, and distributed 1,350,589 personal protection equipment.
