This article discusses findings from the State Bar of California Standing Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct that explores the circumstances under which an attorney's social media postings would be subject to professional responsibility rules and standards governing attorney advertising. The committee concluded any posting relating to the availability for professional employment of an attorney is subject to the rules.
