The recommendations delineated in this concept paper are informed by input from various published research reports, national studies, and members of the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) Services Workgroup convened by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). This paper will provide an overview of the known prevalence of CSEC in Florida. Next, it will lay out the primary components of a robust continuum of care for survivor of CSEC, based on national research and promising programs in and outside of Florida. Included with each component is the status of that component in Florida’s current continuum and what Florida should do to enhance it. This resource was used as handout material for the National Convening on Trafficking and Child Welfare held on June 10-11, 2015.
