Title I, Part A, subpart 1, section 1111(1)(g)(E) of this act requires the State educational agency to collaborate with the State title IV agency to ensure the educational stability of children in foster care, including assurances that the child remains in his or her school of origin. If a determination is made that it is not in the child's best interest to remain in the school of origin, the child must immediately be enrolled in a new school, and the enrolling school shall immediately contact the school last attended by the child to obtain relevant records.
