Abstract: Provides information and data on the Child and Family Services Review (CFSR) indicator, permanency in 12 months for children in care 12 to 23 months, that measures whether the agency reunifies or places children in safe and permanent homes in a timely manner if permanency was not achieved during the first 12 to 23 months of foster care. For use in continuous quality improvement activities (CQI) and CFSR trainings, this factsheet takes complex data calculations related to States’ performances and condenses them into a digestible reference to help State leaders, CQI staff, and other interested child welfare professionals understand and confidently explain CFSR data indicators to a variety of audiences.
